What draws corporate groups to Bengaluru

  • Reached from every metro

Direct flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad and Kochi put delegates from every office on the ground the same day.

  • Rooms for large groups

Convention hotels that seat well over 1,000 delegates, and five-star ballrooms across the centre for launches and dealer meets.

  • Three clear venue zones

The city centre, Whitefield in the east and the northern belt by the airport, each with its own hotels and its own pace.

  • A mild climate

Cool evenings from December to February and a high-altitude city that stays comfortable for most of the year.

  • Retreats within a day's drive

Nandi Hills, Mysuru, Kabini and Coorg, for a night or two outside the city.

  • Local delivery

Transfers, vendors and the event day are run by ICE India's Bengaluru delivery team.

Bengaluru for corporate groups

Bengaluru is the capital of Karnataka and the home of India's technology industry, which makes it a natural host for national sales meets, partner conferences, product launches and leadership offsites. Every major hotel chain operates here, so a shortlist can be built around group size and agenda instead of around what happens to be free.

The city is spread out, and where you hold the event shapes the day more than which hotel you pick. ICE India's Bengaluru delivery team plans the venue, the transfers and the run of show together, and shortlists hotels by loading access, ceiling height and branding surfaces as much as by capacity. Hotel contracting, flights, production and entertainment sit in one plan, with a single point of contact, end to end.

The city

Bengaluru

Where you hold the event shapes the day, so the city splits into four zones. Nandi Hills and Kabini sit within reach for a night away.

Central Bengaluru
MG Road, Residency Road, Vittal Mallya Road, Race Course Road and Ulsoor. Five-star hotels with ballrooms for 500 to 850 delegates, close to Cubbon Park, UB City and the city's restaurants. The best fit for board meetings, launches and evenings where delegates walk to dinner.
Whitefield and the east
The tech-park belt around ITPL. Two convention hotels here take residential conferences where every delegate stays at the venue, and the Purple Line metro runs out to Whitefield.
North Bengaluru and the airport belt
Hebbal, Yeshwantpur, Thanisandra and Devanahalli. City hotels and resort-style properties with large lawns, a short drive from the airport. Suits programmes where most delegates fly in.
Old Airport Road and Domlur
The Leela Palace on one side and the Embassy GolfLinks business park on the other. Smaller halls and good boardroom space for leadership meetings of 100 to 300.
Nandi Hills and Devanahalli
About 60 km north, 1.5 to 2 hours by road. A sunrise above the cloud line is the classic start to a day, and Golfshire sits close by, with a convention centre, a golf course and lawns for residential conferences beside the airport.
Kabini
Around 200 km from Bengaluru, with river and forest lodges and wildlife safaris. Suits leadership retreats that want real distance from the office.

The palace city

Mysuru

Mysuru is Karnataka's cultural capital, a compact and calm city built around the Mysore Palace. It suits leadership offsites, reward trips and residential conferences of up to about 300, where a dignified setting matters more than a very large hall. The Dasara festival fills the city's hotels in October (11 to 21 October in 2026), so dates in that fortnight need booking well ahead.

The hotels cluster in the Nazarbad area, two to three kilometres from the palace. Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel, a heritage palace with lawns, is an alternative for a dinner or a small gathering.

What groups do
A visit to the Mysore Palace and its Durbar Hall, an evening with a classical ensemble, Chamundi Hill, Srirangapatna, silk and sandalwood shopping, and yoga or wellness sessions for a slower day.
The palace by night
The palace is illuminated weekly, which gives an evening a ready backdrop.

Plantation resorts in the hills

Coorg

Coorg (Kodagu) is hill country in the Western Ghats, with coffee estates, rainforest and small villages. Its resorts are small, usually 50 to 110 rooms with one or two halls, so Coorg suits leadership offsites and reward retreats of 40 to 150 delegates, not conferences of several hundred.

Rain and season
Roughly four-fifths of the annual rain falls between mid-June and September, with July the wettest month, and some trails close. October to March is the best window and December to February the driest. Indoor alternatives matter at any time of year.
What groups do
Coffee-estate trails, nature walks, plantation treasure hunts and bonfire dinners with local food. Indoor quiz evenings and aroma workshops cover wet weather.

When to go

Bengaluru sits at about 900 metres and stays mild through the year. December and January are the coolest months, with highs around 26 to 27°C and lows near 16°C. April is the hottest, at about 33 to 34°C.

The south-west monsoon runs from June to September and the north-east monsoon brings the heaviest rain in October. Outdoor evenings between June and November need a covered alternative, which ICE India settles at planning.

Bengaluru
Most programmes run for one or two city days, or a city conference followed by a night at a retreat.
Mysuru
October to February is the pleasant season.
Coorg
October to March is the best window; December to February is driest.

Events ICE India has run in Bengaluru

  • Guests gathered under the red arch at a Transasia launch evening

    Transasia Bio-Medicals

The 2019 analyser launch reached Bengaluru on 23 March: 250 guests at The Lalit Ashok.

  • We worked with ICE India for Confluence, our annual global partners meet. There were 4 other agencies who were pitching for this event and we finally chose ICE India due to their thorough understanding of our needs and the innovative ideas which they suggested for the event. Since this was the first time that we were working with ICE India for such a large scale event, we were a bit skeptical, but Mufaddal and his team were involved in every small aspect of the event and executed it seamlessly. The biggest thing that they bring to the table is the organized way in which they work, which leads to minimum last minute issues, which we all know is bound to happen in a large scale event. All in all it was a very good experience working with them.

  • The acronym ICE stands for Impressive, Capable, and Efficient. It was so calm and well-managed that they were able to handle the whole event from scratch. The company is experienced in handling things such as negotiations, customisation, and creativity. Our event was managed by ICE India in such a way that our client was unstoppable in appreciating it. It is Mufaddal who is the backbone of ICE India and he has a wonderful team to support him in managing any event. We had a great time working with ICE India, and I am sure they will go far in this industry. A big thank you to the team at ICE India.

  • Mufaddal & his team gave us a new insight & a different perspective about our event. They showcased it beautifully, gave us invaluable tips and made it a huge success. Our event is a multi-faceted one and not easy to understand & implement. They were very professional, creative and worked hard to meet our deadlines. Thank you very much Mufaddal and all the best to you & your team.

Planning an event in Bengaluru: questions

How much does traffic affect an event in Bengaluru?

A great deal. The Outer Ring Road, Whitefield and the Hebbal flyover are slowest from about 8.30 to 11 in the morning and 5 to 8.30 in the evening; Whitefield to the centre, about 18 km, can take 40 to 50 minutes at peak. ICE India keeps each programme inside one zone where it can, runs fixed coach departures and schedules sessions outside those windows.

Are there rules on music and late-night events?

Yes. Karnataka's 2022 circular bans loudspeakers from 10 pm to 6 am. Indoor halls such as banquet halls and conference rooms are exempt, but open-air events are not, so lawn evenings and rooftop parties need permission and an earlier finish. ICE India checks permissions at planning stage and moves the louder part of the evening indoors where needed.

What does a conference in Bengaluru cost?

It depends on the zone, the hotel category, flights and production. For reference, ICE India's published bands put a one-night conference for 200 people at ₹35-70 lakh including stay on twin sharing, F&B and AV, before GST. ICE India quotes each Bengaluru programme after a short brief. See corporate MICE.

Do we need to bring AV and staging from another city?

No. ICE India's Bengaluru team works with local AV, staging and decor vendors, which keeps freight and set-up time down, and checks loading access and ceiling height at the hotel before a stage design is fixed.
